I can't even watch Palin because she makes my stomach hurt. I'm just horrified by what is happening in our country - the bad stuff, that is. (Lots of love for the Obamas in my house!!!)
I think a lot of us are just tired of this crap. That is why I took a break from blogging but when I saw this insanity I had to share. Thanks for keeping Obama love. You know I am praying up a storm over here! Big hugs to you, E! [hugz]
Oh my god. This is just sickening. And the man shot for wearing an Obama shirt.
I want Obama in the White House SO bad. Not only because I think he can do some good there....I feel like he can do some good, but also because there are too many stupid hateful close minded people in this country. We need to show ourselves AND the world that color of skin has nothing to do with anything. Spirit, attitude, intelligence, compassion, a wish to connect with others, a willingness to TALK to others regardless of their race/religion/country of origin. These things are SO important if the human race is going to survive at ALL. :(
Thank you for your kind words, Lauri. I feel so much the same about what I am seeing. And I so agree with what you said because I don't get the continued ignorance and hate. I am so tired of this disrespect but unfortunately this is a part of the American society that has always been alive and people have been trying to share it but some are not open to that change. It is just showing its TRUE colors more now on a national level! : /
Well, I am hoping this is just another phase (although a distasteful one) that we have to go through to evolve as a nation.
We canNOT be stuck in the hateful closeminded brainwashed mindset and ever ever advance and improve and hope to see the world improve! And there is a LOT of improving to do!
Yeahh, I'm really not surprised at any of this stuff that's going on with racists and their silly schenanigans. We live in a world of dichotomies where excellence is harassed by mediocrity, so again I'm not surprised and neither should anybody else be. We have an exceptional candidate who happens to be black, too, so he's got double the ridiculousness to deal with. I actually expected folks to act a certain way who weren't in accord with him. True, it disappoints me to see folks support the McCain/Palin camp, but their choices are theirs. To each his own. Just keep your racism at home, though!
As A Tribe Called Quest once said, "Take that garbage to St. Elsewhere!"
